Educator Incubator Programme


Educator incubator programmes engage educators in a 26 hour workshop with a focus on coaching and supporting them towards delivering the learning outcomes as set out by the National Curriculum Statement.  The programme also facilitates and exposes educators to technology integration and its’ use in the classroom.

Educators are provided with the following at the end of the workshop:

  • A supplementary guide specific to the subject that is being thought in the classroom.
  • A complete set of lesson plans in Powerpoint format.
  • Access to the online learning portal.
  • Access to the collaboration and social network infrastructure.
  • A pre-installed Netbook computer for immediate use in the classroom.
  • Access to Star Schools network of subject matter specialists.

 

Aims and Objectives

  • To support educators in applying the newly introduced NCS requirements, specifically in English, Mathematics, Physical Science and Mathematical Literacy.
  • Provide educators access to teaching resources and Star Schools educator network.
  • Provide access to tried and tested lesson preparation tools, inclusive of learning outcomes, content, exercises and activities and a pool of questions that can be related to assessment standards, both in an on-line and off-line medium.
  • Star Schools together with its partners is also able to offer additional classroom management and life coaching support.
